INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE AT DELIVERY. The recipient (consignee) shall inspect the shipment (the property being transported) at the point and time of delivery, prior to signing this Bill of Lading. Any visible loss, damage, or discrepancy must be recorded in writing above before signing. Signing without noting a written exception constitutes acceptance of the shipment in the same apparent condition documented at pickup, and releases the assigned motor carrier and the broker (Haulgency LLC d/b/a Loadgency) from any claim for loss or damage that was reasonably visible at delivery. Concealed damage must be reported to the broker within twenty-four (24) hours of delivery and is handled under the assigned carrier's cargo insurance and applicable law (including the Carmack Amendment, 49 U.S.C. ยง 14706, where applicable). Payment for transportation is made directly by the customer to the carrier (COD) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Nothing herein waives any right that cannot be waived under applicable law.
